SIZZLING SALSA CLASSES

Salsa is a very popular form of club dance found in clubs that play Latin music, especially in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. It is a mix of many Latin and Afro-Carribbean dances, but it most closely resembles Mambo. Both Salsa and Mambo are danced six steps over eights counts of music. In Salsa turning is emphasized. Some call Salsa the "Street Mambo".

Come join us every Tuesday night at the Hollywood Dance Center to learn the hottest dance in town! Michael and Natalia will teach you some great moves that will have you SIZZLING on the dance floor.

Beginner's Class	7:15 to 8:00 PM
Beginning / Intermediate Class	8:00 to 8:45 PM
Intermediate Class	8:45 to 9:30 PM
Advanced Class Invitation ONLY*	9:30 to 10:15 PM
Classes are taught in a four week series for $48 Drop in students are always welcome. Single classes are $14 Monthly Salsa class pass Unlimited classes: $120 ·Admission into higher level classes allows for entry into the lower level classes for half price! Classes are held at: The Hollywood Dance Center 817 N. Highland Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90038 (1 block North of Melrose Ave.) Note to students coming from the Valley and using the 101 Freeway: Do NOT use The Highland Avenue exit. Traffic for the Hollywood Bowl is very heavy. Use either Cahuenga, Vine, or Gower. Then take any of these three streets South to Willoughby (it is just past Santa Monica Ave.). Turn Right onto Willoughby. Take Willoughby to Highland Ave. Turn Left onto Highland. The Hollywood Dance Center is on the right. You may park on the street after 7:00 PM.

BEGINNER'S SALSA CLASS

This class focuses on the fundamentals of Salsa, incorporating basic steps and strong style to prepare you for social dancing and further classes. You’ll embark on your dancing adventure with confidence!

BEGINNING / INTERMEDIATE SALSA CLASS

The fundamentals are covered and now you are ready to challenge yourself with essential patterns and clean lead and follow techniques. The Level 2 class teaches you to spontaneously create your own patterns while learning to lead, to follow, and to interpret the music creatively, all in a comfortable social setting.

INTERMEDIATE SALSA CLASS

Building on the techniques learned in Level 2 class, the Level 3 class adds double turns, faster tempos, and more complex partnering,

ADVANCED SALSA CLASS

Crisp, sharp and fast paced, the Level 4 class is chock full of flashy turn patterns, hot styling and fancy, dynamic techniques. The Level 4 class is for the seasoned dancer.
